Some folks become addictive to the area and return yeaer in year out. The Inspectors Cottage as the name implies was occupied by the 2 IC of the mine in the late forties. Actually there used to be 12 or 14 houses on this one section or road called Anderson Crescent. Sadly the others were removed when the mine closed in 1952. No doubt someone will bring them back perhaps to turn this small section grandiose back to a popular visitors destination. Volunteers or rich kids can sign here…………

Inside the houses are equipped with an ‘easy to use’ kitchen and plenty of bench space for the serious chief. Five bedrooms with one room with double bed the others with twin singles. Outdoor entertainment areas and bbq. Generally there is no mobile phone reception or Television coverage down here but take this as an advantage as you become involved in the experience of living close to the sandstone cliffs that make a magical backdrop to the house settings.
